The plants at Lyn and Malcolm's Garden

Ensete ventricosum 'Montbeliardii'

Review Notes: This plant is not so easy to get now that Koba Koba have closed down, that is where we got ours. The picture shows it at about 4 years old, the leaves are rather shattered because of the bad Summer we have had in 2008, lots of wind and rain. It is grown in a very large pot, sunk into the ground. The pot has ropes attached to it, to enable me to pull it up out of the ground. Then cut the leaves to just above the trunk, and bring it into the conservatory to overwinter. It will put up a few leaves during the winter, which we have to shorten, to stop them pushing off the roof!

Plant Type:- Tender
